Ultra-Low Latency Inference Engine
Xelera Silva has developed an ultra-low latency inference engine specifically tailored for ML algorithms, such as XGBoost, LightGBM, and CatBoost , addressing a critical need in electronic trading. Xelera Net SmartNIC frees up valuable server resources that would otherwise be used for compute-intensive infrastructure tasks such as network encryption, significantly reducing cloud infrastructure costs. In addition to its full-offload capability, Xelera Net offers a turnkey SmartNIC solution allowing for rapid time-to-market. Both features were the reason for several customer wins in 2022.
In 2023, we released the second generation of the Xelera Net SmartNIC product, which offers the following key enhancements:
Performance enhancements: True 100G line-rate performance ensures consistent high bandwidth for a large number of IPsec sessions.
In-system upgrades: Different network functions can be seamlessly plugged in and out on a single hardware platform, providing a single platform for accelerating a variety of different network accelerators.
We started shipping the new version of Xelera Net SmartNIC to customers.
In November Xelera set up its first very own 5G network within its premises using various Open RAN components from different partners as well as open-source software. With this new setup Xelera’s development of a hardware-accelerated Distributed Unit (DU) can be tested end-to-end for the first time. The DU is based on hardware from our partner NXP Semiconductors and will provide better performance and lower power consumption for 5G networks.
Throughout 2023, Xelera was able to increase not only the customer numbers but also to expand the team. We were successful in adding five more driven individuals to our team. For the first time since Xelera was founded, we advertised and filled two positions without any technical experience. We were able to establish a marketing department to advance Xelera and support our technical team.
Abhiram is an Information and Communication Engineering master's student at Technische Universität Darmstadt. He specializes in digital circuit design and wireless communication.
Julian works for Xelera as an FPGA engineer. He provides a master's degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt. In 2022, he already worked with us as a working student. Coming back to Xelera, Julian brings indispensable skills.
Pavel joined Xelera as a C/C++ software engineer focusing on the development of DPDK and Linux devoce drivers. He has extensive experience working with cutting-edge technologies such as DPDK, eBPF, and SDN.
Myriam is part of our two-headed marketing team. In her past she gained invaluable experience in social media management, CI design, and event coordination. With her strong background in project management, content creation and website design, Myriam takes care of overall marketing responsibilities for Xelera.
Angela takes care of our social media Marketing at Xelera. Starting as a Master business Administration student, she provides a unique perspective that helps us to engage with our community. She has proficiency in foreign languages and her master's degree in human rights.
One of our primary goals in 2023 was to bring our solutions closer to existing and potential customers. Establishing a marketing department was a significant step in achieving this objective.
